We used CLIO, ProQuest, Spring, and the ASME Digital Collections to find thousands of academic delta robot articles from the journals Robotica, Applied Mechanics and Materials, the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, The International Journal of Robotics Research, and many more. Some of these results discussed delta robot kinematic and dynamic analysis techniques, while others exploreded techniques, materials, and processes that aim to boost the speed, strength, and reliability of Delta Robots.
The most useful result we found through our journal search was Dr. Staicu's "Recursive Modelling in Dynamics of Delta Parallel Robot" in the journal Robotica. This article solves the inverse kinematics, and the inverse dynamics problem of a delta robot to determine the required motor angles, velocities, accelerations, and torques for a given end-effector path. We used components of this method in order to simulate our robot, identifying the optimal gometry and motor parameters. Dr. Staicu's paper is refrenced by 37 other academic papers, which provided us with a plethora of supplementary sources.
